David practiced as a solicitor in NSW from 1984 – 1994 in Sydney then as associate and partner in regional firms with a broad practice encompassing commercial and criminal law.
David practiced as a solicitor in Queensland from 1994 to 2010 as a senior solicitor with a top tier firm, subsequently as partner in a specialist Planning & Environment firm, then consultant to a specialist Property/Planning & Environment practice. He has appeared as solicitor advocate in all levels of state courts.
