Nathan Edridge

Nathan was called to the Bar in November 2017.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours IIA) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland.

Nathan practises in public law, particularly criminal law.

He regularly appears in jury trials and sentence hearings in the District and Supreme Court, as well as the Childrens Court of Queensland.

He has appeared led and unled in the Court of Appeal and has experience prosecuting matters on indictment and under the Justices Act.

Nathan often appears in matters involving children or issues of mental illness and capacity.

He has appeared in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (General Division), Mental Health Review Tribunal and the Mental Health Court.

Nathan previously tutored in Criminal Law at the University of Queensland and worked as Associate to a District Court Judge.

Before moving to the private bar, Nathan practised as a solicitor and barrister at Legal Aid Queensland, including as Counsel in the in-house chambers.
