Higgins Chambers expresses its congratulations to Greg Barns for being announced, this week, as one the four new senior counsel for the State of Tasmania.
As well as being a highly respected barrister who has appeared in some of the longest and most difficult criminal cases in recent history, Greg is a frequent contributor to news journals on human rights and legal issues.
Greg helped run Malcolm Turnbull’s argument for a republic in the dying days of the twentieth century.
Greg is also a colleague at my other chambers, Salamanca Chambers, in Salamanca Place in Hobart. Congratulations, Greg. You will do the new moniker proud.
